The preclinical toxicology component is an essential part of New Zealand’s intent to build a viable biotechnology industry since previously, developing biotech and pharmaceutical companies had to send their testing overseas. This meant not only an exodus of money from New Zealand but often an exodus of trained personnel.
It is Estendart’s intention to expand not only to serve the domestic market but to move internationally, creating a world recognized centre of excellence that brings both work and income into this country.
