Established in 1971, New Zealand Pharmaceuticals (NZP) manufactures and exports small molecule pharmaceutical intermediates and diagnostics products (synthetic and natural) for leading pharmaceuticals and biotechnology companies. NZP is ranked in the New Zealand top 500 list of companies, and has a strong export focus with 99% of its products being exported to all parts of the world.
- NZP specializes in the chemical synthesis of a range of GMP-compliant sugar compounds and bile acid derivatives. The carbohydrates include N-acetylneuraminic acid (sialic acid), mannosamines, and other simple sugar derivatives along with iminosugars, inositols and other non-saccharide synthetic compounds.
- NZP also manufactures a range of biochemicals and natural extracts for the international health food, cosmetic, biotechnology and aquaculture industries.
