Company Profile
Virionyx is a public unlisted biopharmaceutical product development company based in Auckland, New Zealand. The company specializing in the development of immune based therapeutics using patented discoveries and proprietary technologies.
The company’s lead drug candidate, PEHRG214, represents a new biological approach to the treatment of HIV infected patients who have progressed to AIDS. Currently in US based Phase 2 trials, PEHRG214 is a polyclonal caprine (goat) IgG preparation containing antibodies that target highly conserved regions on HIV not recognized by the human immune system.
Virionyx has also designed and manufactured a microparticle immune stimulator ("MIS416") with multiple pathogen-associated molecular pattern recognition receptors (TLR & NOD ligands) that act in a safe, well defined and synergistic manner. In the presence of immunogens, the microparticle also amplifies both cellular and humoral adaptive immune responses and thus it is an effective and potent immuno-adjuvant.
