Current products are based on a novel proteinase from our extremophile collection and include prepGEM™ and forensic GEM™DNA Extraction Kits.
ZyGEM DNA extraction technology uses a simple two step temperature modulation to extract DNA in a single, closed tube which reduces the opportunity for contamination and errors. Methods are easily automated using standard liquid handling systems and typically provide DNA ready for PCR in 20 minutes. The technology is particularly well suited for small or trace samples.
ZyGEM DNA Extraction technology has been used to prepare DNA for many demanding applications including PCR, Q-PCR, STR analysis, and SNP genotyping.
